About Northeast Washington Chapter
The Northeast Chapter of the Washington Native Plant Society, centered in Spokane, WA, offers the opportunity to observe, explore, and protect a wide range of native plant communities. Communities include subalpine meadows, montane and lowland forests, Palouse prairie remnants, shrub-steppe, riparian zones, and wetlands. Our membership includes professional botanists, knowledgeable amateur plant enthusiasts, and newcomers interested in learning more about their natural surroundings. We invite the community to attend meetings and programs, join us on field trips, and participate in volunteer projects in plant preservation, education, and native plant landscaping.
